The victim was taken to County Memorial, where he is reported in stable condition. Name is being withheld pending family notification. Police are currently on the look-out for a silver Nissan Pathfinder with NY plates ending in 74.”

She would’ve read it... OK, she probably would’ve read it, spent all of five minutes worrrying about the cyclist, and forgotten all about it by the time Letterman wrapped up his latest Top Ten that night.
